It’s National Hot Dog Month in July, so why not grill up some yummy dogs (hot dogs, that is. Not your furry pup, of course) and put on a new twist to it.

Note: Hot dog etiquette is to dress the dog, not the bun. In this recipe, all ingredients are placed on top of the dog with the exception of the tomatoes- left side of the dog- and pickle spear- right side of dog.

It is also appropriate to eat the dog within five (5) bites and never use utensils.

There are some healthy hot dog options out there (even vegetarian), so experiment to see what you like. And, if you have young children, hot dogs can be a choking danger, so slice the dog lengthwise and cut into small pieces.
