1 ½ lbs. of ground chuck
½ Cup of chopped onions
2 slices of bread torn into pieces
¼ Cup of milk
1 egg
6 ounce can of tomato sauce/divided
2 tablespoons of brown sugar
Salt and Pepper to taste


Take 3 tablespoons of the tomato sauce and place in small bowl and combine with the brown sugar. Set this mixture aside. Measure and place all of the remaining ingredients in the 8”X 12” baking pan in the order listed. Using large spoon gently mix the meatloaf ingredients together. Form the mixture into one large loaf with your hands in the center of the baking pan. Place the meatloaf in the oven and bake for 1 hour at 375 degrees. Pour the tomato sauce and brown sugar mixture on top of the meatloaf and cook for 15 minutes longer
(Tip: There will usually be some grease that drains from the meat while cooking. For a healthier meal-drain the grease from the pan prior to glazing the meatloaf with the tomato brown sugar mixture.)
