What are Parsnips?
Parsnips are an ivory- colored root vegetable, they grow in the ground. They are very much related to the carrot. Parsnips have a nutty, sweet flavor. Their sweetness is often enhanced by apples, orange zest and spices such as cinnamon, ginger and nutmeg. They are starchy, like a potato. They are delicious added to a soup or stew.
