What are tayberries?
This soft berry was created through cross-breeding a blackberry with a raspberry. It tastes like a loganberry, boysenberry, which are also blackberry-raspberry hybrids, or just like a fragrant blackberry. It was named after the river Tay, a river in Scotland, where it originated. Unlike raspberries and blackberries, tayberries have a large, but short cropping period. So, due to its scarceness, if you see them at the farmers market, for example, grab them and try some!
